about us

We are Dorothée Monestier and Gabriella Toscan, the founders of My Little Day. Our friendship began on the benches of art history college and was strengthened during our student job as birthday party entertainers. We must admit that we had a lot of fun and excelled at it! We both then went on to work in art and design, always sharing the same aesthetic standards for everything around us.

When we started celebrating our own children's birthdays, we were disappointed by the poor and outdated party supplies available. Not to mention the lack of good advice for organising and entertaining a party.

That's how, in 2010, we embarked on the My Little Day adventure, the first license-free online store, offering carefully selected products to create a beautiful and practical universe, sourced from all around the planet. With rapid success, in 2012, we launched our own range, designing collections with Scandinavian influences and reinventing the party world.

Today, My Little Day products are sold in over 500 points of sale worldwide, with children's favourite themes available to create a sparkling and trendy party: superheroes rival dinosaurs, mermaids mingle with fairies, and it's hard to choose between forest and savannah animals.

The online store is visited by over 100,000 people per month, our Facebook page has over 150,000 followers, and our Instagram has over 115,000 subscribers. We share with our community the desire to create beauty, but also to do good.

In 2019, we began our ecological transition to reduce our carbon footprint and plastic use. We have committed to producing as much as possible in Europe in order to limit our CO2 emissions, and it's effective! All our tableware is made in Europe using FSC paper, with vegetable inks and a vegetable coating replacing the plastic layer on plates and cups. The packaging for napkins is made of cellulose film. Our natural latex balloons (European-made, of course) use water-based inks and mineral pigments, and they are biodegradable, and absorbed by the earth like oak leaves. We have also developed goodies without packaging, our notebooks, and temporary tattoos are plastic-free and made in the EU. Our paper bags are produced in France and packaged by a supported employment workplace.

However, we still lack essential party supplies such as piñatas, garlands, and confetti, which cannot be produced in Europe. So, we turned to our former Chinese partners with a simple demand: no plastic and only FSC paper. We are very pleased to introduce recycled cardboard piñatas and hope to present plastic-free garlands and confetti by January 2024.

We hope you like all of this!
